Semester Two 2026
Bookings for Semester Two are now closed, and we are looking forward to another wonderful semester of learning.
This semester, our students will journey through some of the greatest works of Western civilisation. Our youngest students will delight in Andrew Lang's Fairy Tales, while older students will grapple with enduring masterpieces such as The Iliad and Don Quixote, exploring timeless questions of courage, honour, justice, and virtue.
In Foundations of Christendom, students will trace the remarkable story of Christian civilisation from AD 325 to AD 1100, examining the conversion of Constantine, the great church councils, the rise of monasticism, the Crusades, the formation of Christian Europe, and the events that laid the foundations of medieval Christendom.
Our Writing programme continues with three distinct Progymnasmata courses. Students in Refutation and Confirmationwill learn to evaluate arguments with reason, justice, and sound judgement. In Encomium and Vituperation, they will master the arts of praise and blame, learning to recognise and articulate virtue and vice. Finally, Ethopoeia will develop their ability to write in character, cultivating empathy, wisdom, and rhetorical skill by giving voice to historical, literary, and even symbolic figures.
We are grateful to all the families who have entrusted us with their children's education and look forward to another semester dedicated to the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty.
