Course description This course delves into the Australian Progymnasmata (Narrative) book, immersing students in a collection of captivating Australian stories that build upon the skills acquired in the Australian Progymnasmata (Fables) course. In this course, students will read timeless tales, including myths, legends, fairy tales, and historical narratives, igniting their moral imagination. They will undertake a series of exercises to develop their writing skills, such as dictation and exploring the elements of plot, while also focusing on techniques for crafting meaningful dialogue and vivid descriptions. By the end of the course, students will have gained a solid foundation in narrative structure and techniques. Additionally, they will develop their oral presentation skills and deepen their appreciation for beautiful poetry through regular poetry recitation.
